This survey reveals that 5 per cent of the
respondents were unemployed. For those who are at work, most of
them found their present job within a month. But two-third of
them considered it difficult to get a job at present. The main
criterion for an ideal occupation are high salary, stability of
work, good career prospects and interest. Most looked for a job
through job advertisement and friend¡¦s recommendation. Though
the Government¡¦s labour importation scheme did not affect most
of the respondents, they believe it affected the rise of
employment and thought the Government to stop the scheme.
