This survey revealed that 34 per cent of the respondents aged 10 to 19 have private tuition after school. Most students spent less than 4 hours every week in private tuition. The most common subjects for private tuition are English and Mathematics. About 40 per cent spent $500 to $1,000 per month for private tuition expense. Over 90 per cent of the respondents found their academic performance had improved since they had had private tuition.
