Public Health Lessons Learnt from COVID-19

The Youth I.D.E.A.S. announced its latest report on “Public Health Lessons Learnt from COVID-19”     The Youth I.D.E.A.S. (established by HKFYG Youth Research Centre) has released its study on “Public Health Lessons Learnt from the COVID-19’”.   A survey on 806 local citizens aged 18 to 65 showed that majority of local citizens were generally not satisfied with HK government’s measures to combat the COVID-19 outbreak, scoring 4.82 out of 10 (scale of 0 to 10, with 10 representing very satisfied). Enriching Students’ Internship Experiences in the Next Normal

The Youth I.D.E.A.S. announced its latest report on “Enriching Students’ Internship Experiences in the Next Normal”     The Youth I.D.E.A.S. (established by HKFYG Youth Research Centre) has released its study on “Enriching Students’ Internship Experiences in the Next Normal”.   For the surveyed 877 Hong Kong university students who intended to join internship this year, near half of them cannot work as intern as planned, 20.7% of their internship being cancelled or postponed, 27.3% failed to find an internship.   Survey result showed that, for those 457 students who secure an intern opportunity during the pandemic, 54.3% of them […]

Opportunities for Youth Employment Amid the Pandemic

The Youth I.D.E.A.S. announced its latest report on “Opportunities for Youth Employment Amid the Pandemic”     The Youth I.D.E.A.S. (established by HKFYG Youth Research Centre) has released its study on “Opportunities for Youth Employment Amid the Pandemic”.   Data gathered from 600 Hong Kong youth aged 18-34 who have left school showed that 55.0% of them have encounter employment problems such as “failed to find jobs” (22.0%), “reduced working hours” (17.8%), “had been put on furlough” (17.5%) and “took a pay cut” (13.7%). The Youth I.D.E.A.S. announced its latest report on “Maximizing the Advantages of Flexible Working Arrangements”     The Youth I.D.E.A.S. (established by HKFYG Youth Research Centre) has released its study on “Maximizing the Advantages of Flexible Working Arrangements”.   A survey on 521 Hong Kong youth aged 20-39 and working full time showed that 43.4% of respondents hoped that their employers would implement flexible working hours. The Youth I.D.E.A.S. announced its latest report on “Improving Operations of Advisory Bodies to Better Facilitate Youth Engagement”     The Youth I.D.E.A.S. Enhancing Support for e-Learning in Schools

The Youth I.D.E.A.S. announced its latest report on “Enhancing Support for e-Learning in Schools”     The Youth I.D.E.A.S. (established by HKFYG Youth Research Centre) has released its study on “Enhancing Support for e-Learning in Schools”.   Data gathered from 1,039 Hong Kong youth aged 12-19 showed that the biggest challenge they faced during e-learning is the lack of learning atmosphere(60.4%), followed by difficulties to stay concentrated (56.7%) and affect effectiveness of learning (46.8%). The Youth I.D.E.A.S. announced its latest report on “Facilitating Young People’s Access to Financial Services through Virtual Banking”     The Youth I.D.E.A.S. (established by HKFYG Youth Research Centre) has released its study on “Facilitating Young People’s Access to Financial Services through Virtual Banking”.   Data gathered from 525 Hong Kong youth aged 18-39 showed that 73.0% of them have heard about “Virtual Bank”. Most respondents thought that the benefit of virtual banking is “fast” (63.6%), followed by “24-hour service” (35.0%) and “unrestricted by location” (24.6%).
